Welcome to the workshop

Get Started in 3 Steps

Everything you need to plug in. Do these three things before we kick off Beat 1 — then it's all hands-on, building with Tableau Next.

1

Join the Tableau Community Slack

22,000 practitioners already live there — data engineers, BI leaders, analytics architects. Post what you shipped, ask what broke, trade industry variations. Kevin Hodgkins and the workshop team are in the channel too.

Open your AWS Workspace

Head to hot.demo.tableau.com and enter today's workshop code:

VIBECODING2026

Your Workspace comes pre-loaded with everything you need — Claude Code, the Salesforce CLI, VS Code, and a private OrgFarm org tied to just you. Nothing touches your laptop.

Once your Workspace opens: double-click Start Workshop on the desktop. That runs the setup script — clone the repo, connect Salesforce, launch Claude Code. Type hey when Claude is ready.
3

Know your panic button

If anything gets stuck — a deploy hangs, a dashboard won't render, Claude Code freezes — you have a one-word escape hatch. Type this into Claude Code:

panic

The panic-reset skill tears down whatever's half-built on your org and puts you back at a clean starting point. Safe to run at any time. If panic alone doesn't route, try:

reset my workshop
Panic mode is for when the code is stuck. When YOU are stuck — question, confusion, curious what a term means — just raise your hand. That's why we're here.
